FW25: le PÈRE Recasts Prep Through a Global, Musical Lens

le PÈRE’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection arrives like a mixtape folded into a tailored jacket—equal parts archive and anthem. We have long treated menswear as a cultural soundtrack; FW25 doubles down on that creative ethos, mining a worldwide library of artists and sartorial references to reshape classic prep into something louder, stranger, and unmistakably modern.

FW25 Rugby Longsleeve

This season we look beyond bicoastal touchpoints, reframing our signature “boyish masculine” language through a European lens. Think 1950s collegiate silhouettes translated via contemporary fabric and finish—wool knits spun in Japan, tailored trousers made in Italy, and corduroy caps from Portugal. The result is a quietly radical prepwear: familiar proportions remade with unfamiliar textures, embroidered insignia, and the sort of craftsmanship that rewards close inspection.

FW25 Boy Sports T-Shirt

Our FW25 collection launches with a dense first drop—“Part I”—that reads like a study in variations. Double-layered collared shirts arrive alongside detachable-sleeve button-downs, a new knitted basket-weave language appears next to long-sleeve rugby polos and football kits, and knitwear—sourced from Japan—introduces a tactile rigor you can feel on sight. One new motif threads the range: a cursive le PÈRE insignia, embroidered as a signature across shirts, polos, and outerwear, turning logo into heirloom.

What’s notable is how music and maker culture continue to structure the collection. le PÈRE’s roots in the music world—both in taste and in method. The brand’s refusal of a single auteur voice—preferring to let artists lead projects—gives the season a plural, collage-like energy; graphics and collaborations (including a fresh body of work with Karlotta Freier) punctuate the collection without overwhelming the tailoring.

There’s also a practical sophistication at work. Tailoring steps in for the first time in le PÈRE’s seasonal arc: Italian-made trousers bring a cleaner, more formal option into wardrobes otherwise stocked with sport-leaning staples. Corduroys and caps nod to textured utility; multi-layered shirts offer seasonal adaptability; and the rugbys and kits reassert the brand’s love of athletic patterns reworked as high-finish goods. Every piece feels calibrated to be worn, layered, and lived in—not just photographed.

In short, FW25 reads as both a return and a pivot. It returns to a familiar love of sport, sound, and studio-made garments; it pivots toward a more European prep vocabulary and a first step into formal tailoring. The season is less about one standout moment and more about an attitude: archival curiosity, collaborative creation, and clothes built to carry a creative life. Explore FW25 Part I now online and in-store—the first release is live, and like all le PÈRE pieces, it’s made in small batches for those who prize discovery as much as wardrobe.
